I came across these quotes recently, one on openness, one on ‘finding yourself’ and one on the value of our ‘mistakes’. I find they are always ripe for the moment they arrive in my life and often in the lives of others.

The hallmark of an open mind is not letting your ideas become your reality. If you define yourself by your opinions, questioning them is a threat to your identity. If you see yourself as a curious person or a lifelong learner, changing your mind is a moment of growth.

‘Finding yourself’ is not really how it works. You aren’t a ten-dollar note in last winter’s coat pocket. You’re also not lost.
