The year 2025: October, November and December by the numbers

We’re well and truly into the ramp-up; 2025 is in top gear. Activity has dramatically accelerated now. In short, each of these three months involves completing a different expression of power. October concerns the power we exert externally and how we make an obvious difference in the world. November concerns the power we feel within us, our inner worth, esteem and confidence. And December combines the two: allowing us to fiercely seek out truth/s. However, unlike the past three months, it’s probably a good idea to tighten seatbelts again.
Preamble
Last year, I wrote in my blog about the months of the year and how we each have a personal month number as well as a personal year number. We simply add the number for each month — January equals 1, February 2 and so on to December 12, which reduces to 3 — to our personal year. Well, we can also apply this to the year 2025 to get a sense of what the flavour of each month is like for the world as a whole, as we complete the final leg in the current 9-year cycle.
We are all influenced by the global year. We see 2025 everywhere, so it becomes a powerful frequency for the year, more potent than any other 4-digit number. The 9 frequency of 2025 is like a draft that wafts across our personal year. It doesn’t eclipse our birth number or even our astrological number — we have them for life and they don’t change — but it does affect our personal years no matter how engaged we are in this world. That said, personal years, personal months and global years are transitory. We do pass through them, hopefully having learned some things along the way!
So to the months of October, November and December 2025. October is a 1 month (9+10=19, which reduces to 1 (1+9=10, 1+0=1). November is a 2 and December a 3.
Here’s my take on these three months. Remember in a 9-year we are completing the current cycle, wrapping things up, letting go of whatever has run its course and making room for the new energy about to flow in in 2026. So in each month we — as a collective or community — are expressing different aspects of that completion process.
October 2025 (1) Astrological equivalent: Leo
October takes us back to January and the beginning of this global year. It’s a 1 month again. But it’s not the start of the year. We’re ten months in to the final year of the completion cycle. It’s more like a reset, a kick-start. So, this month is a reminder to reboot the completion process. Hopefully we’ve been doing the wrap-up all year! If not, we’ll be shaken by the shoulders, so speak. It’s the ramp-up on steroids. It’s like that jolt you experience when an aeroplane leaves the runaway, lifts off and rises quickly or that jolt you get as the rollercoaster car lunges forward up that first incline. We are being called to get moving and wrap up the tasks we know are in front of us. By now, we should know what they are. If we’ve been asleep, expect a rude awakening. This is a significant shift and it will be felt. True to form, the 1 is black-and-white, no in-between grey. This is not a time to doubt our capacity to do this. We can be creative with this, too. However, if we doubt our capacity and shrink in fear, it will be destructive.
November 2025 (2) Cancer
After the pace of October, we may feel like a rest in November? Especially so if we’re feeling a bit run down from all the frenzy of the last month. So some R+R will be appealing. We may feel tempted to hide in our collective shells or if out and about to dilly-dally our way through a summer meadow on our way to meet a friend for a cuppa on the porch. However, the homefront requires our attention: what to keep, what to let go? Same for friendships: who to keep, who to let go? While we might want to be receptive to the ‘needs’ of others, looking after home is important, too. Say goodbye to old unhealthy patterns of people-pleasing; it’s only weighing you down. End those outdated patterns and people you’re not resonating with; stop overworrying about others. While your giving will undoubtedly be guided by kindness and compassion, it must be genuine, measured and freely given. We all need to stand on our own two feet; we help each other by showing how we do that. And having patience with both ourselves and others. As well, our partnerships and teams come fully into focus. This also plays out in the community. We want more authentic, more ‘real’ representation in public life, for example, in government. There’s likely to be a shake out here. Possibly quite emotionally-charged.
December 2025 (3) Sagittarius
The final month of the final year in the cycle. It’s a big deal, and the 3 frequency encourages us to act on all fronts. This may get complicated. By this stage we ought to be fully aware of what remains on the to-do list. It’s all laid bare if we choose to see it! Now, we may not meet all our collective goals; that is a big ask. All I will say is what we don’t sort out will be carried into the new cycle of 2026. That will cause conflict and slow down planetary progress. So be it. Therefore, make that to-do list as short as possible and with only minor things on it. That said, if we can stretch ourselves to embrace a less narrow view of any remaining issues, we may just be freed enough to solve them. It will require some serious risk-taking and deliberately putting aside old ways of thinking. We also have to be free to speak our minds and communicate with each other. And while the communication is likely to be candid, it’s essential we don’t neglect it. Answers won’t come from being fixed on the how-you-did-it-last-time, so to speak. Look outside your current container of possibility; it can be limiting. That’s where the power to make the final wrap-up is to be found. So, let go of the preconceived and be open to what you may have previously ignored.
