General thoughts on the month
It’s one of those rollercoaster months. (Whaddayamean, they’re all rollercoasters!) Sure, we’ll be taken in directions we may have never imagined, which is why it’s best to take each day as it comes. Still, if you know how to ride the rollercoaster, you’ll be fine. Remember you can close your eyes on the rollercoaster and pretend it’s not happening or you can stay alert, eyes wide open, prepared to explore all the intriguing possibilities. I’m talking people from diverse backgrounds, those with unusual interests or maybe even people prepared to entertain conversations about novel ideas. (Who actually has conversations these days?! That could be about to change.) The world stage is about to get busy. Embrace the freedom and stretch the mind.
There are bound to be some major revelations this month, and while we may be tempted to rebel and try to ignore them, they won’t ignore us. They will increasingly request our attention. They are likely to challenge us to step outside our individual frames of reference and contemplate a much bigger picture. Given the upheaval, alliances of all kinds face pressure as relationships outgrow themselves, especially if one party can’t accept that upheaval as being appropriate for the other’s growth. If necessary, alliances may benefit from a neutral third party to mediate the upheaval. That said, if we are open to the rich possibilities that can follow an upheaval, we will naturally draw in the right people to create new alliances. Refresh is the name of the game. The profound shifts in awareness swelling to the surface are for our growth and benefit over the term of this year and, more broadly, this cycle.
And remember, taking moments out of our daily routines and activities — even brief — can help us absorb those shifts in awareness. The 4 supports a bit of ‘goof-off’ time!
The 13, 4 in a 1-year: The Power of Regeneration
The number 13 is not unlucky as is widely claimed, though its rich symbolism might offer an explanation why many are wary of the 13. Check this out: The symbol of 13 is “a skeleton, or death, with a scythe [is that not the Grim Reaper?], reaping down people in a field of new-grown grass, where young faces and heads appear to be thrusting through the ground and emerging on all sides”. (Is it any wonder there’s suspicion around the 13?) It’s a number of upheaval so that new ground may be broken. It’s associated with power, which, if used selfishly can bring destruction upon itself. There is a warning of the unknown and the unexpected. However, adapting to change peacefully can bring out the strength of the 13, and reduce any negative potential, much like the farmer ploughing the field for new growth. This way 13 gets on top of the situation rather than be subject to it. Which is one reason I encourage those born on the 13th of any month and/or with a birth name adding to 13 to plough the field rather than chop heads. There’s a real sense of purposefulness to ploughing carefully and methodically. There may be times when heads need to roll, but mostly that capacity should be used sparingly and purposefully and when ploughing a field isn’t quite going to cut it, so to speak!
With all that in mind, I can understand why some people might be afraid of it. We are hard-wired to avoid upheaval because we assume it might hurt us. Especially if it’s Grim Reaper-style upheaval! Might that be why some of us fear the 13? And especially Friday the 13th? In March 2026, the 13th happens to fall on a Friday!
All of that said, the number 13 is also associated with genius, with explorers, breaking the orthodox and new discoveries. Which is generally exciting — although people can be afraid of that too. For many of us, it’s enough just to keep up with the sheer volume of exposure in our world at the moment. And yet, I suspect, it will become even more challenging because in a global 1-year, each of our personal years is turbo-charged. And the more we move into the 1-year, the more that turbocharging feeds back into the human collective, which then influences each of us individually. And so on the feedback keeps looping.
